Our mission is to make secondary glazing accessible to all homes.

Retro Glazing removes the two main barriers to upgrading window glazing.
Cost and legislation.
Our goal is to enable all property owners to improve their energy efficiency affordably and make secondary glazing accessible to everyone.
We do this by streamlining all aspects of Retro Pane development; from design, assembly and all the way to installation. This helps us to offer Retro Panes at unparalleled pricing while maintaining their exceptional thermal and acoustic insulation properties.

1. Design
Retro Panes are designed to visually disappear once installed.
Retro's ultra-grip sponge surround allows them to fit securely into existing window frames without the need for fixtures or adhesives, making them perfect for period or listed properties with strict regulations. Since Retro Panes cause no visual or functional alterations to the original fabric of properties, they typically don't require planning permission for installation in listed properties.
The slim aluminium frame blends in and matches the style of your window frame. The panes sit snugly inside the window frame, ensuring that the window opening mechanism won't be affected. Whether your window slides vertically, horizontally, or swings open, Retro Panes allow you to open your windows easily.

2. Assembly
Every Retro Pane starts its journey as a raw piece of custom-extruded, shiny aluminium, which is then precisely cut and assembled into a pane at our production house. Each Retro Pane is assembled by hand, allowing us to deliver high-quality, made-to-measure panes within 4 weeks.

3. Installation
Retro Panes are simple and quick to install, whether you have panes professionally installed by us or install them yourself. Each pane is installed in minutes without requiring any professional tools.
How much can I save?
Calculate energy savings and CO2 emissions of a single-glazed property by adding Retro Panes
Lowering energy bills and carbon emissions.
An average single glazed house in the UK typically costs around £800 per year to keep warm, resulting in the release of 2.1 tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere.
With Retro Glazing, the same house uses £580 per year to keep toasty, releasing only 1.5 tonnes of CO2.
