What tools do I need to measure?
A tape measure or the laser measure we lend you, and something to note the numbers on. There's no drilling, no special kit and nothing to buy.
What if I measure wrong?
The video shows exactly where to measure, and you can do your first window with us on a call. We check every measurement before anything is cut. To be certain, order a single pane first. If it comes back the wrong size, we refund it.
How does the loan laser measure work?
Order it through our shop and we post it to you. Measure, then post it back. We hold a £50 deposit and refund it in full when it arrives, and we cover the postage both ways. Most people have it for a few days.
Can I order one pane first to test the fit?
Yes, and we'd recommend it if it gives you peace of mind. Measure one window, order one pane, fit it, and see the result in your own home. If it comes back the wrong size, we refund it. Then order the rest knowing exactly what to expect.
What does it cost?
£249 per square metre, fixed, whether you measure or a surveyor does. There's no premium for being outside our survey area and no hidden extras. Smaller windows cost less than larger ones. Use N9WY4Y3J5PY3 at checkout for 10% off.
Are they hard to fit?
No. Retro Panes slot straight into your existing sash windows in minutes. Nothing to screw in, nothing permanent, and they lift out again for cleaning or decorating. Our installation page has the details.
How long until my panes arrive?
Around five weeks from confirmed measurements. Every pane is cut to your numbers, so that time goes on making them properly. We'll keep you updated, and if you have a deadline, tell us and we'll say what's realistic. Small orders are often quicker, though we can't promise it.
